Working together...a gift for you!

Hello Yogis.

Firstly, I would like to say, a huge thank you to all of you who have migrated over to the online classes.

I am amazed at how powerful the classes feel. Your presence each week means so much!

Some of the comments I have received as feedback have been lovely…

“The online platform was easy to use, audio and picture quality were really good.
Brought back a little normality to Tuesday mornings!”

“Great class thank you – vision and voice excellent – was using a lap top – like being in the same room with you!”

“I’m so enjoying being able to still do yoga and sort of socialise with you all!"

Because of your dedicated support, I am delighted to be able offer you the opportunity to attend my Monthly Full Moon Intention setting evening and Monthly Reiki or Crystal Bowl to Silence Evenings for FREE! All you need to do is to secure your place on any yoga class that I offer within the week of the event or events you wish to attend. Please secure before the Wednesday evening session takes place, even if the yoga you attend is running after the event, as on the Friday or Saturday of that week.

I wouldn’t be able to continue without you and I am humbled to be able to continue to teach my passion and to continue to share the gift of yoga.

If you have been toying with the idea of joining us online and are unsure for any reason, please do get in touch and I can try to alleviate some of your concerns.

Below are a few items that may help your comfort as you practice.

Yoga Blocks and Bricks - These can help you to access postures that your arms or hamstrings won’t allow you to comfortably reach. They also allow space within poses that would otherwise be accessible but at a struggle, thereby improving the benefits and comfort of any particular pose.

You can get accessories from Amazon, but I always buy my yoga accessories from Yoga Mad because the quality is very good.

What to do now?

As this is such a trying time, it is important to keep yourself busy.

  • Get up at around the same time you usually would if at all possible and do some form of exercise on waking. Whether that be yoga, or it may be going out for a local walk or a run. I find starting the day with exercise, sets the energy for the day and everything else runs more smoothly.
  • Try to limit your viewing of the news updates to just once a day! We really do risk being bombarded and this can bring the perspective reflected by the subconscious into panic mode. You are in danger of becoming energetically held down by the constant negativity that is being projected. We all need to take responsibility and to remain as safe as we can, but the nervous system was not designed to be bombarded 24 hours a day with threat of harm messages.

Instead of filling your perception with negativity, you may try using your time in other ways.

  • If you are fortunate enough to have some space and time to yourself during this lockdown, maybe you would can use this time to research more about a topic that you are interested in, or to study a subject you have always wanted to study but have not had the time to do so.
I am using the time I have to meditate more and to delve more deeply into the spiritual lessons of the ancient yogis and other inspirational teachers. I am using this time to connect more openly with a deeper and more spiritual side of myself, through a daily intention setting practice, using crystals and meditation, thereby helping me to journey consciously through the weeks ahead. I have also ordered a native american flute. I hope Kenny can tolerate lockdown with me after that arrives!

For the heroes out there!

I know not everyone has more time and some of you may be working extra hours than normal and within more taxing environments. You may be one of the amazing few who are putting yourself in harms way for the benefit of each of us. Whether you are a front line NHS worker or a bus driver, I remember you every morning and every evening and I take time every day to hold space for you too and my intention is to ask for protection and inspirational healing for each of you! If you need support in the form of meditations or yoga and can’t get to my classes, please do let me know and I will see if I can organise something for you!

I will be holding an online workshop on Saturday 25th April that can help you to fit yoga or meditation and relaxation into your day, as and when suits you best. If you are interested in learning more, you can access details here:

Healing space requests!

I know some of you have been personally touched by this virus and if you need me to hold a healing meditation for yourself or for anyone you know, please just ask. You can send the name to me and I will include a request for healing for yourself or for your loved one.

You are all amazing and I am holding space for this to move by swiftly, and with as little harm done as possible; where we will emerge the other side, even more aware, more connected and with a sense of oneness we may have forgotten before.

With lots of love.

Carrie-Anne.
